- It is an adapter for a Toaster equipped Amiga, to allow it to be hooked to a
- multisync SVGA-type monitor. As the Toaster is a genlock device, it is picky
- about the sync it feeds and gets from the monitor, and though I don't recall
- what exactly this device does, I do know you need one.

- If you are hooking up such a monitor, all you really need is a 23 pin Amiga
- to 15 pin VGA/SVGA cable. Or a 23 to 9 or 15 pin adapter, and the appropriate
- cable. You don't need the Syncstrainer for this, because you aren't using a
- Toaster. Other internal genlocks may also require a Syncstrainer. It will
- work, but it is more expensive than a simple cable.
-
- If the monitor you are using doesn't support 15khz horizontal (all VGA, and
- many SVGA, do not), you'll need such a monitor (or TV) to set up the monitor
- type to VGAonly or Multiscan.
